Lauren Soukup, OD grew up in New Brighton, Minnesota. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of St. Thomas. During this time, she assisted with research on Macular Degeneration at the University of Minnesota where she later co-authored a published paper on the subject.
Dr. Soukup earned her Doctorate of Optometry from New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. She received honors in her ocular disease rotations at Boston Medical Center (MA), Wenzhou Medical University (China), VA Healthcare-Newington (CT), and Naval Health Clinic Hawaii-Pearl Harbor (HI).
As a passionate provider, Dr. Soukup provides exceptional care to each and every patient in her chair. She believes that eye health and vision comfort are a fundamental right for every patient. Her compassion and motivation for patient-centered care alongside similar-minded colleagues ensures the best eye care for your family.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Soukup is a strong advocate of proper eye care service to underserved communities. She helped coordinate vision screenings for children in homeless shelters throughout the Boston area during her time in school. Dr. Soukup loves traveling, biking around the Stone Arch Bridge, spending time with her family on the lake, and staying active with her favorite pastimes: basketball, boxing, and yoga.
