Dr. Forliti Joins Father’s Practice

Ninety two members of the Southern California College of Optometry’s (SCCO’s) Class of 2008 received their Doctor of Optometry degrees during the schools 104th ceremony on Friday, May 23rd. Family and friends numbering more than 1,200 gathered to witness the hooding of the 92 new optometrists.

Breann (Sulerud) Forliti was among the graduates to receive her degree and to add to the honors, her father Dr. Lynn A. Sulerud was asked to participate in the ceremony by hooding his daughter with the doctorate stole. Breann received her Bachelor of Science degree in business from St. Cloud State University before attending Optometry School in California.

Breann and her husband Jesse have moved back to Minnesota and Dr. Forliti is joining her father, Dr. Sulerud and associates, Dr. Georgiann Jensen and Dr. Ryan Fedor at their newly expanded Blaine Eye Clinic in Blaine, Minnesota.

Dr. Sulerud started his optometric career as an associate in a private practice in Cambridge, Minnesota with the ultimate goal of owning his own practice. He was the founder of the Blaine Eye Clinic, which he started in the Pioneer Village Mall in 1979.

His daughter Breann’s interest in optometry developed over the years as she held several positions working at the Blaine Eye Clinic throughout high school and college. She was influenced by her father and his colleagues who have a heartfelt interest in helping their patients. She feels honored to be a part of the clinic her father began while she was a child and is anxious to carry on the legacy.
